Nowadays we depend on electronic appliances and industrial goods and those thing became very important to human society as much as we can't live without those things. From the past to the present, a lot of scientists have been born, and they have invented a lot of epoch-making inventions. Those inventions have developed by next generation scientists and It became more useful and more comfortable. Some of those inventions still remain as essential to human society, and one of the inventions is the 'Light Bulb' invented by 'Thomas Alva Edison'. In addition, Edison also invented many other useful inventions such as 'stock ticker', 'Kinetoscope', and 'Vitascope', and he became known as "The Wizard of Menlo Park, New Jersey", where he lived. He was a great inventor and leader, and he oughts to win respect from people as he had marked an epoch in human society.
In many ways, He shows up as a great leader. First of all, He was an 'Enthusiastic' leader. He had gave his life to the invention as he got 1093 patents of his inventions. Besides the light bulb, Edison developed the phonograph and the "kinetoscope," a small box for viewing moving films. He also improved upon the original design of the stock ticker, the telegraph, and Alexander Graham Bell's telephone. He worked very hard, and sometimes he worked twenty hours a day.
Second, He was a 'willing to overcome obstacles' leader.
He was a partially deaf. During his childhood, he received only three months of schooling. It was apparent that Thomas was self-centered, something his teacher often complained about. Thomas also possessed an insatiable curiosity, asking questions constantly about all manner of things. His teachers considered him to be a dull student. Because of hearing problems, Edison had difficulty following the lessons and his school attendance became sporadic. But as the result, he could concentrate his experiment and could invent a lot of inventions.
His family was very poor. When he was twelve years old, he was working harder than a lot of adults, Edison took a job as a trainboy on the Grand Trunk Railway and established a new lab in an empty freight car. He was 12 at the time. Edison also began printing a weekly newspaper, which he called the Grand Trunk Herald. At fourteen, he began writing a newspaper called "The Weekly Herald", which was the first journalistic publication ever type-set, printed, and sold on a train. One of his articles made it into a major English journal, gaining him some notoriety and helping him to sell more than four hundred copies of his paper a day, making a profit of about ten dollars.
